2. Tell me about one thing you're wearing.
I've had this jacket for years and I intend on wearing it until it totally disintegrates, which it's well on its way towards. It's had some unfortunate run-ins with pointy-toothed pets and is mainly held together by safety pins and badges.
3. What influences the way you dress?
I've always been really into clothes without having much of an interest in fashion, if that makes sense. I don't read magazines or keep up with current trends. I mainly shop in charity shops but I'll look around high-street shops sometimes too. How I dress generally depends on how I feel and where I'm going and I'm a strong believer in committing to a look. I don't do things in half measures. If I'm going to look ridiculous it has to look intentional!
4. Tattoos are such a personal statement, are your tattoos something you style around, and are they ever a talking point for others?
I don't place a lot of importance on my tattoos so I don't ever consciously style around them. The only way they would influence what I'm wearing is when I'm in therapist mode and have to look professional; then I have to think about buying blouses that button up to the neck and have full length sleeves and the like.
People often ask me about my tattoos but I don't have a lot to say about them, to be honest! They don't have any meaning or sentiment. I tend to personalise a lot of the things I own and they serve the same function - like putting a sticker on a notebook!
5. Last question... “Less is more” or “more is more”?
I have a tendency to overdo it with accessories so I like to take off one item just before I leave the house. Less is more!
