Paul O'Mahony/23/I work in a clothes shop in the stockroom but I'm also a photographer on the side. I also have a radio show on Flirt FM and I've a few YouTube videos up. I also write a bit. Basically I'm creative and pretentious.
2. Tell me about one thing you're wearing.
I suppose my most distinguishable item of clothing I have are my suspenders, or braces as some people call them. I love wearing them, because they hold up my pants better than belts. Also I think they look really good on guys, and since I consider myself at least biologically and mostly mentally male, I like to wear them. I just think they frame a guys body really well. I think it's that horizontal stripes thing, where it's like here's a straight line, but look how my chest protrudes these lines, how distinctive and attractive. I own like a dozen suspenders, in all varieties of colours and formality. I have my fancy ones and my super fancy ones and my quirky ones and my casual ones. These black ones are the ones I wear the most, they go with everything. And they're very versatile on the fanciness scale. I like my suspenders.
3. What influences the way you dress?
I get very inspired by what other people wear. I don't really follow trends though. I don't like wearing exactly the same thing everyone else wears. I don't really wear skinny jeans now any more because it seems that every guy wears them now. I'm a slim leg hun now. I try to just do my own thing and sometimes it works out. I used to be much more adventurous with my style, with varying degrees of success, but now I'm in this happy medium. Casual with a twist.
4. Tell me about the quirkiest item of clothing you own.
I've got some random pieces in my wardrobe. I've got a big American football letterman's jacket. I like wearing it because it makes me look like I was the quarterback of the football team in school, but I was actually on the Maths Team (The A team, the B team were nerds).
5. Last question... Tattoos: yes or no?
Yes on other people, No on me. My body is a temple, let's see how many can fit inside.
Thanks so much to Paul for this week's interview! If you'd like to check out his photography page, his radio show's Mix cloud and his YouTube channel check out here, here and here respectively (his make-up attempt video is definitely one to watch)!
