Name: Seana. Age: 25. And I'm a buyer and stylist (for clothes).
2. Tell me about one thing you’re wearing.
I’ll tell you about my coat. I bought it nearly 5 years ago in ASOS and it was sitting in my room in Mayo in the cupboard, and it wasn’t until December gone by I asked my mum to bring it up. At the time when I bought it it was oversized but now that style is in, with high lapels and the tartan look - so I brought it to life in December!
3. What influences your style?
The inspiration behind my style is my environment: my current environment where I am, who I’m with, sub cultures. I think there’s like a mix of - could be a little bit rock - with structuredness, with punk, all those little subcultures mixed in. Music influences big time, my friends, and I think working in the fashion industry. Especially in a consignment store, when you have over 2,000 consigners bringing in so much stock, you kind of draw inspiration from what they wear and you buy their stuff as well.
What is your oldest (but still wearable) item of clothing?
That is a difficult question for me to answer 'cause I’m a hoarder so I have a lot of old stuff! But one thing I thought of is my Levi’s belt. I bought it in Oxford Circus when I was 16. It’s a brown leather belt, labelled as vintage on the tag. I wear it to this day - it’s my only one belt that I have and it’s still in perfect condition. So that’s nearly ten years!
Last question... Online or In-Store?
In-Store. I like to feel fabrics. I like to feel everything around me! I also like buying online but 98% in-store. Brick-and-mortar all the way.
